We plant using rotational row method with grass rows in between. We use old hay for mulch and plant lot so herbs and flowers as insect control. Our happy scarecrow couple keeps the crows away and puts a smile on our face. We do not use any pesticides and use mushroom dirt, compost and cotton seed meal to enrich the soil. We have lots of honey bees and butterflies that pollinate our flowers and vegetables and keep them happy. We also companion plant vegies that like each otehr together and keep those apart (pepper and tomatoes for example)that don’t like each other so much. We use heavy dut fishing line around the garden (2 strands) for a temporary deer fence that works great! We plant mainly heirlooms and a large variety of peppers and tomatoes. Happy Gardens make Happy Campers!
